We utilize a double-blind peer-review process to maintain the highest level of scientific integrity.   ESJ is published quarterly, releasing four formal issues per year. To minimize delays in the communication of scientific breakthroughs, the journal follows a Continuous Publication model. This means that individual articles are published online as soon as they have completed the peer-review and production process, rather than waiting for the full issue to be finalized.

  ESJ provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. The Engineering and Sustainability Journal (ESJ) operates as an Open Access publication. To support high-quality editorial management and permanent global accessibility, a one-time Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only upon formal acceptance of a manuscript.

The journal offers waivers and discounts for authors from underfunded institutions or developing regions to ensure equitable access to publication.
